Its like ACTS, but its got an extra S.
In this pattern we are reminded that our prayers should include Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication, and Surrender
| We Praise God for WHO HE IS | |
| No matter how great we can imagine anything could be, God is greater. | |
| He is Love absolute and perfect | |
| He is merciful and at the same time Just | |
| He is Holy | |
| He is creator of the universe, able to sustain or destroy it. |
| We confess our sins | |
| We agree with God's verdict of our sinful behavior |
| We thank God for what He has done | |
| It is natural that we should thank God for the gifts He has given to us. | |
| As we begin to thank God, we also begin to see things He has given that we have not recognized as from God. | |
| We acknowledge our dependence on the Lord | |
| We are reminded of God's faithfulness | |
| In Thanksgiving, we can begin to see our current needs, and desires in a different light. |
| When we ask for ourselves, | |
| We acknowledge God's ability to provide | |
| God gives us everything we need. |
| God gives us everything we need to do his will. | |
| When we ask for others, we express our love for others | |
| Scripture teaches us to pray for each other |
| I yield myself to his control, | |
| I acknowledge that he is LORD and I am his servant | |
| God wants to answer our prayers, but God must be in control of our lives to bless us, and to provide for us. | |
| When we are weak, then we are strong for we have God's strength | |
| When we surrender to God, we overcome the world, sin, and Satan | |
| In surrendering to God, we are able to follow the Holy Spirit | |
| Through surrender, we achieve victory |
