BELIEVER'S PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
I thank you for removing the veil from my eyes to allow me to
see
through Satan's deception
and lies. Thank you for showing me that
the debt for all my sins
(past, present, and future) has been paid by
Christ's death on the
cross for me.
Lord, I know that Satan still comes before Your throne
accusing me
of my sins and
failures. That being so, I pray that the only valid
accusations he can make
against me are these:
If I am accused of GLUTTONY,
let it be because I can't
get enough of feeding on Your Word.
If I am accused of GREED,
let it be because I have
an insatiable desire for more
opportunities to serve
You.
If I am accused of PRIDE,
let it be because I
continually boast about Your Son
and the difference He has
made in my life.
If I am accused of STEALING,
let it be because I steal
every precious moment
I can to be alone with
You.
If I am accused of FEARFULNESS,
let it be because I'm
afraid I haven't been faithful enough in
sharing the Good News of
the gospel with those around me.
If I am accused of STUBBORNNESS,
let it be because my feet
are firmly planted
in the center of Your
will.
If I am accused of ANGER,
let it be because of my
rage against Satan
and the evil he causes in
this world.
If I am accused of STRIFE,
let it be because I'm
guilty of doing everything I can,
through prayer and the
power of Your Holy Spirit,
to thwart Satan's schemes
here on earth.
If I am accused of ENVY,
let it be because I long
to be like those who
have already been called
to Your side in heaven.
But, Lord, may Satan never, ever have good reason to stand
before You
and accuse me of being
unfaithful to You. Help me stand firm in my
faith, always seeking to
do Your will here on earth...'til your Kingdom come.
Amen.
