The RSVP Model
Jeff Marks has been leading prayer seminars for almost 25 years, working with students in the early '70s through his time as a pastor and now as the Director of New England Concerts of Prayer. His ministry has had a prayer emphasis always -- as a house church leader, as pastor, as prayer coordinator for New England.
The foremost emphasis of the seminar is coming into the presence of the Lord, alone and as a community. We will focus on being in relationship with God as the context for our understanding of revival prayer. The second emphasis of the seminar is on revival prayer itself. Jesus is our reviver and revival leader, and he sends the Holy Spirit to revive us and to lead us in intercession. From this perspective, prayer is no burden; it is a fountain of refreshment.
